Christopher Beam, a writer for Slate has recently written a heavily researched article looking back into the history of the word "fail." Often used by nerds, geeks and freaks alike, he traces it's usage back as far as anyone in their right mind would care to know. The point of the article? No fucking clue, but it does seem to touch on some interesting notions.
